Nourishment Beyond Eating: The Power of Nutrient-Rich Meals

There’s a common misconception that eating right is complicated. But I’m here to say it doesn’t have to be. It’s about understanding the elements your body needs and incorporating them into your daily routine.

Here are a few pointers to consider:

  1. Fueling Your Body Eating isn’t just about putting things in your mouth; it’s about providing your body with the energy it needs to thrive. Think of it this way – every bite is a chance to boost your vitality. Embrace it!
  2. Nutrient-Rich Meals Foods packed with vitamins, minerals, and goodness are your body’s best friends. Lean proteins, fresh vegetables, good fats – these are the powerhouses that will uplift your health and well-being.
  3. Balanced Nutrition A healthy plate isn’t just a pretty sight; it’s a well-balanced mix of proteins, carbs, healthy fats, and, of course, those vibrant greens and fruits. It’s not a diet; it’s a lifestyle choice to feed your body the best. It also includes foods that you love!! Everything in moderation.

In 2016, I starved myself and lost 20kg.
In 2017, I became a PT and helped others do the same.
(With the best intentions… but a whole lot of diet culture 🤦‍♀️)

Then came hypothyroidism.
Adrenal fatigue.
Insulin resistance.
15kg gained while doing everything “right.”
I ran. I lifted. I ate whole foods. And still… my body was exhausted and holding on.

I fought my body for years.

Eventually, I stopped fighting and started listening.

That’s when everything changed.

I began helping women feel strong and confident, not just smaller.

I learned how much more there is to health than calories and scales.

I stopped chasing skinny and started building strength (mentally and physically).

✨ But growth isn’t linear.
In March 2025, I finally found a GP who really listened.

In June, I met a specialist who told me to starve myself even harder 😅🍆
(Plot twist: I said no.)

Now? I’m starting Mounjaro.
Because I refuse to keep punishing my body for not working like someone else’s. It needs help and support & if these medications that are thought of for only weight loss will give it that help, I refuse to be ashamed or feel like I’m caving/giving in/doing it to be “skinny”. I’m doing it so my body can function normally. 

And I’m sharing the ride—because I know I’m not the only one.

In 2016, I starved myself and lost 20kg.
In 2017, I became a PT and helped others do the same.
(With the best intentions… but a whole lot of diet culture 🤦‍♀️)

Then came hypothyroidism.
Adrenal fatigue.
Insulin resistance.
15kg gained while doing everything “right.”
I ran. I lifted. I ate whole foods. And still… my body was exhausted and holding on.

I fought my body for years.

Eventually, I stopped fighting and started listening.

That’s when everything changed.

I began helping women feel strong and confident, not just smaller.

I learned how much more there is to health than calories and scales.

I stopped chasing skinny and started building strength (mentally and physically).

✨ But growth isn’t linear.
In March 2025, I finally found a GP who really listened.

In June, I met a specialist who told me to starve myself even harder 😅🍆
(Plot twist: I said no.)

Now? I’m starting Mounjaro.
Because I refuse to keep punishing my body for not working like someone else’s. It needs help and support & if these medications that are thought of for only weight loss will give it that help, I refuse to be ashamed or feel like I’m caving/giving in/doing it to be “skinny”. I’m doing it so my body can function normally. 

And I’m sharing the ride—because I know I’m not the only one.

This is my story so far.
I’m evolving. Learning. Unlearning.
