I truly believed that if I just hit that magical “goal weight,” I’d finally feel happy in my body. Spoiler alert: I didn’t.
Even after losing the weight, I still felt like it wasn’t enough. I was chasing an impossible standard, punishing myself with exercise, and labelling food as “good” or “bad.” This cycle eventually caught up with me, and my body said, “Enough.”
Chronic illnesses like adrenal fatigue and hypothyroidism forced me to reevaluate everything I thought I knew about fitness and health.
That wake-up call was hard, but it also changed everything. I realized that health isn’t about obsessively counting calories or pushing yourself to the brink in the gym. It’s about building habits that feel good, embracing your body for everything it can do, and creating a lifestyle that brings joy—not shame.

The New Year Reset is designed to be flexible and work for you, no matter how busy you are, and I know you’re super busy! The Follow Along Workouts will be approximately 10-30 minutes long and the lessons are only 5-15minutes.
Absolutely! The New Year Reset is designed for all levels of experience, from beginner to advanced. I’ll guide you through everything step by step in our Follow Along Workouts, and there are options to modify exercises or movements in the Actively You Fitness Library as needed. All you need is an open mind and a willingness to try something new!
You do need a current Facebook account to be involved in our community. If you don’t have Facebook though, you can still gain access to all the lessons and workouts!
If you’d like to take advantage of our Fitness Library – I would recommend 2 sets of dumbbells for the workouts. A lighter set (eg. 1-3kg each) and a heavier set (eg. 5-10kg each).
The New Year Reset is the perfect solution even if you feel like you need 1:1 personal training. Not only is it more affordable, but it offers far more benefits. Unlike personal training where you can get distracted chatting, The New Year Reset takes a holistic approach, addressing both your physical and mental well-being.
